I believe I have the same problem: an Ubuntu upgrade has caused the
Ubuntu-installed gdata provider to not be visible in the Thunderbird
addons list. This results in all of my google calendars being greyed out
in the Thunderbird calendar pane.

I am not convinced this is a ducplicate of bug #1797945. If I read that
report correctly it is about upgraded Thunderbird with the external add-
ons used. I *do* have both lightning and gcal provider from the Ubuntu
archive (repeating from the description):
xul-ext-lightning:amd64
Above is from apt upgrade log. So both went from 1:52.9.* to 1:60.2*

same here - on 16.04. the "internal" Lightning calendar disappearead
since it is not longer compatible with TB60.
Need to install the package "xul-ext-lightning" which I removed in the
past, because it provides only the english version.

Not the same problem here on 16.04 : my google calendars are still in
sync using google agenda provider add-on.
On 18.04 though, I had to re-enable each of my agenda to login into my
google-account.
