I am unable to touch the bottom of the laptop it's that hot. It continues to get hotter and hotter. It continues to do this until the system crashes and reboots, or runs out of battery. If I am not away for to0 long sometimes the system is still back up. It is very hot but when I log in, The temperature cools down and feels like a normal heat. I do and have installed i3WM. From what I noticed I have it has ever happened with i3WM. But I defiantly get it with KDE or the Stock Gnome session. I have tried to change the power and lock screen settings to ensure it is not going into suspend but this hasn't made a difference from what I can tell. I have told the system to go to lock screen when I close the lid. I have never seen this issue on my home PC only my work laptop. No other colleague has experienced this issue either.
