Title:
  NetworkManager does not show available Wi-Fi networks;
  iwconfig+dhclient work -- Intersil Prism 2.5 Wavelan orinoco_pci,
  hostap_pci

Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: network-manager

  After upgrade to Lucid-RC, the Network Manager applet no longer shows
  available networks.

  However, if I disable management of wireless networks in NM, it is
  possible to connect with

  sudo iwconfig eth1 essid mynetwork key s:asciikey
  sudo dhclient eth1

  The SSID for the interface shows

  eth1      IEEE 802.11b  ESSID:"linford"
            Mode:Managed  Frequency:2.412 GHz  Access Point: 00:11:3B:06:0B:87

            Power Management:off

  with Network Manager, but
