It works also on Walkman NWZ-A818, though in mass storage mode, not in
mtp like Rhythmbox. It shouldn't be a problem.

In that case we should include this information into the media-player-
info project so that the device can work without needing the
.is_audio_player file. See http://ernstfamily.ch/jonathan/2010/10/help-

.is_audio_player file to the root folder of the device, with the
contents:
audio_folders=MUSIC/
video_folders=VIDEO/

Sony Walkman NWZ-S545 not detected
Status in Banshee Music
Same problem here using a Sony Walkman NWZ A818. The device is recognized
correctly in mtp mode by the system and it works fine with Rhythmbox, but
simply doesn't appear in Banshee 2.2 from Ubuntu 11.10 (and previous versions
of course).
Let me know if you need further information.
