I opened the file in different programs: LibreOffice Writer 3.5.4(Debian Wheezy), 4.1.4(Debian Wheezy-backports), 4.2.0.3 MS Word 2002(Win xp), 2007(win 7), 2010(win 2003 server) In any case result was the same as described in comment 5: the central picture is in the bottom of page. Can it be a bug of wine? I'm raising this from trivial status to Normal as I think .doc should be better handled in general in order to ensure that the transition between MS Office and LibreOffice is a smooth one.
