In case anybody needs to bring DVD+RWs back to life after brasero is done with them, i figured out after much experimentation that the sequence of the following two commands will work: sudo dvd+rw-format -force /dev/cdrw sudo dvd+rw-format -lead-out /dev/cdrw -- You received this bug

If you are using a cd-rw or dvd-rw and brasero can't read your disk after an unsuccessful burn, you can use k3b (sudo apt-get install k3b) to blank the disk and write to it again. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to brasero

As I've written on the Brasero bug (https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=655601) it clearly started with Ubuntu 11.04 and it's still here on 11.10, and even with Fedora 16. I hope someone will have a look, because it happens to everyone using default settings! -- You received this bug
