Public bug reported: OS: Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric stable Application: Nautilus 3.2.0
The "Create New Document" option in the context menu in Nautilus (and therefore on the Desktop) only offers the misleading "Empty Document" which creates a text file in gedit (thereby being useless to people expecting the ability to create LibreOffice documents), and otherwise states "No templates installed". The option to create other files should exist by default, else this menu entry should be scrapped. ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/876217 Title: "Create new document" in context menu contains nothing Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: OS: Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric stable Application: Nautilus 3.2.0 The "Create New Document" option in the context menu in Nautilus (and therefore on the Desktop) only offers the misleading "Empty Document" which creates a text file in gedit (thereby being useless to people expecting the ability to create LibreOffice documents), and otherwise states "No templates installed".
