Title:
Unity launcher refuses to start app

Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
I start a java app using Alt-F2. I left-click on the app's icon in the
unity launcher an choose 'Keep in launcher'. After closing the app,
the icon remains. However clicking on the icon does not re-start the
app. Instead, the icon pulses a few times and then stops.
