Same here, only just changed ubuntu session to gnome classic with gnome- panel. Placed Force Quit on the panel and tried to kill a working app (in my case Firefox), mouse arrow kept moving, other than that, system completely froze, couldn't do anything other than Alt/SysRq REISUB. Ubuntu 12.04 --

I've noticed the same thing in Ubuntu 12.04. Incidentally, the application doesn't even have to be misbehaving for this to happen. I opened gedit, did nothing with it, and then used force quit on it. Everything locked up and I had to restart X. -- You received this bug notification because you

This happened to me again. I was trying to kill disk usage analyzer which stopped working. I was able to get rid of the click on misbehaving app dialog after killing metacity and gnome-panel. After this keyboard didn't respond any more so i was forced to restart X. -- You received this bug
