Can't reproduce - must be a compiz bug. Please execute the following command, as it will automatically gather debugging information, in a terminal:
apport-collect 939751 When reporting bugs in the future please use apport by using 'ubuntu- bug' and the name of the package affected. After ALT-TAB to it it is replaced by a completely white and empty window. The program is still working - CTRL+d closes the window, "touch /tmp/foo.bar" creates a file in /tmp - however the terminal is still unusable because nothing in the window can be seen - it is completely white and text is invisible. It is possible to restore its contents by resizing the window again (for example with F11 key). This may possibly be caused by a bug in another package and not by gnome-terminal itself.
