I'm slightly puzzled as to why this bug hasn't received more attention,
since not being able to access the internet is a major problem. Surely
that's a dealbreaker for most people? So I'm wondering if for some

I have done some further tests and found that one can still make a
bluetooth dial-up connection using Gnome-ppp (Covered in
www.pcurtis.com/wind.htm#bt for those who want to use it as a
workround).

tested - all conbinations were used on a regular basis under 11.10.
Pairing Bluetooth works perfectly but when you get to the 'tick box' for
'Access the Internet using your mobile phone (DUN)' it spends a long

How I got my blackberry 8520 with tmobile working was:
Install fresh 11.10 from cd.
Pair phone
Add DUN with wizard that launched
It worked perfectly. Then I added ppa repos for KDE 4.8, and updated.
After update it still worked and there was a nice icon showing how many
bars of signal I have.

I have blackberry 9100, Internet provider Claro - El Salvador.
I just searched with Ubuntu software center for tether and blackberry and
installed the following:

Indeed, DUN itself doesn't appear to spawn the wizard. Confirmed.
