Scenario on my computer:
1. X running, tty7. Everything's ok.
2. Switch to tty1: no sound.
3. Login in tty1: sound comes back.
4. Switch back to X: everything's ok
Now, this is nonsense to me. X *is* running when I switch
I am not using spdif. Standard 3.5mm analog stereo to a 2.1 computer
speaker system.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Play any audio.
2. Listen. You can make it out, but the higher frequencies are all distorted,
like a crackly whine.

I'm waiting for the packaging updates, but I believe upstream is already
dealing with this. There have been some patches on the mailing list
splitting up the libraries further than we already do now. I'm unsure
whether they've actually landed or not, but it is very likely going to
be in for 9.1.
The best way for the moment:
- deinstall LibreOffice as installed from the system
- download the original three packages (mainprogramm, desktop,
translation)from
libreoffice.org
- install all modules with dpkg -i *.deb

PostgreSQL will announce new upstream microreleases in two days which
include one security issue. I'll update the description with the
official annoucement once it goes public.
The updates are on lillypilly.canonical.com:~pitti/psql/ . I'll move
them to a HTTP
I am using ubuntu 12.04 but bug remains just as before
