I now started thunderbird using:
$ XDG_SESSION_TYPE=x11 WAYLAND_DISPLAY= thunderbird
(I don't think those envvars do _exactly_ what I was looking for. For instance,
I notice that ossobv/xpaste still doesn't get access to the send_event:
So, attaching with gdb should happen when it's hanging, assuming that's
the case I still don't see the result for `bt full` (or better `thread
apply all bt full`), so that we can try to figure out where the process
is hanging.

I report also this bug, which seams to be related to nvidia on Wayland.
I made few test on my hybrid graphic laptop (Dell xps with GTX1050 Ti ):
- Fresh Ubuntu install on Wayland (no nvidia driver): OK.
- With Nvidia 510 driver, on-demand profile set, login Xorg: OK.
- With Nvidia 510 driver,
I use `thread apply all bt full` to capture the gdb debug message and
use `journalctl -b 0 /usr/bin/gnome-shell` to capture journal log.

My understanding is the Debian experimental version doesn't support both
at the same time, it's one or the other depending on which binary

Minor problem I have with the fix: dock is not supposed to be hidden
when there are no windows overlapping with it; however it will hide
anyway if you right click an icon and then click elsewhere to close the
context menu. It will keep hiding until you have some window overlap

Is this scheduled to be fixed soon? My apologies if this may not be the
right bug but I use Firefox and cannot log into the Zoom app behind a
SSO login (as it must go to zoom.us). Firefox already has safeguards
about "are you sure you want to open this" and asks twice. It worked
fine in KUbuntu
