The bug does still occur on Trusty. I did a fresh install from the
nightly builds (the AMD64-Mac ISO), and plugged in the monitor while
running `top`. kworker takes up 100% of CPU and makes the system

is reporting this issue on a ThinkPad, so I don't think it's exclusively an
Apple-hardware problem. You might be correct that it's a somewhat unusual setup.

select try lubuntu without installing. Plymoth will show up and youi ar
egreeted with a screen of random shapes. The underlying system still
seems to work for user input for the keyboard as control alt t o
I had trouble trying to apport collect from a tty so I saved a file from
the machine and reported it on my desktop.

To reproduce install lubuntu 405 daily iso in a kvm vm and then boot and
login in lightdm. There will be no installed cursor when you get in but
the mouse will highlight ui elements if you move over them but the
cursor is invisible in this vm.

no cursor with kvm vm and cirrus emul
I get the same behavior of not having this error message in a plain lxde
session but still get the same behavior on up to date vivid build.
To do this I ran sudo apt-get install lxde in vivid and then switched
user to the guest session and then tried launched a guest session and
did not get the me
I get this in Lubuntu 15.04 as well with versoion 3.14.2-0ubuntu4 0

To reproudce install yelp on lubuntu the go to Go in the menu and select
all documents and select simple scan. A help page should show up and
there is haeding for simple scan shortcuts but with no content as can be
seen in my screenshot.
