I also have this problem, I think!
Occasionally my computer will hang at boot showing only a black screen.
Running Ubuntu 12.10 on the following hardware:
CPU: Intel Core i7-2700K@3.5 Ghz (Sandy Bridge)
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX660Ti 2Gb
HDD: Corsair Force 3 SSD 240GB (mounted as / )
Motherboard:
CUDA does not seem to work with any of the drivers supplied from this
PPA, i have tried a couple. Anyone know a fix..? I'm getting a GTX 980
and since i guess the 343.22 driver wont be in the official Trusty
repo's for a while(?) I have to rely on this PPA
