[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1051946] Re: onboard should be launched everytime after user enabled it in unity-greeter

2012-10-18 Thread Brian Murray
Hello Rex, or anyone else affected,

Accepted unity-greeter into precise-proposed. The package will build now
and be available at http://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity-
greeter/0.2.8-0ubuntu1.3 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed
repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to
enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update
out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please change the bug tag from
verification-needed to verification-done. If it does not, change the
tag to verification-failed. In either case, details of your testing
will help us make a better decision.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in
advance!

It's mostly the same people trying to finish up quantal that review these
changes, so SRU acceptance is somewhat behind. Whining won't help.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1051946] Re: onboard should be launched everytime after user enabled it in unity-greeter

2012-10-01 Thread Michael Terry
I uploaded a fix for this in unity-greeter 0.2.8-0ubuntu1.3 in precise-
proposed. It didn't actually need this specific patch from upstream.
Rather, backporting the up-to-date focus logic from upstream was enough
(since it includes code to keep the onboard window above the main unity-
greeter window).

Once it's accepted into precise-proposed, I'd appreciate testing.
