[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1059083] Re: Log in automatically choice does not work.
What you can do is run sudo apt-get install python-launchpadlib then run apport-cli -f -p ubiquity [after that you should substitute it for lightdm] --save bug.apport in Quantal so it will save it for later submission, and in Raring if you see this issue you should report it with apport-collect 1059083 and we can record it as affecting both versions. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to lightdm in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1059083 Title: Log in automatically choice does not work. Ran four tests tonight, all x86. See summary below: 1. Quantal, Testdrive, KVM - Presented with login prompt as noted in original bug report, however, was not even able to login. After entering password, it just brought me right back to login prompt. 2. Quantal, Virtualbox 4.2.12 - did not have problem. 3. Raring, Testdrive, KVM - did not have problem. 4. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1059083] Re: Log in automatically choice does not work.
This bug report was filed as part of the Quantal testing. I don't even know if the problem still exists in Raring. I was going to try to do a fresh install of Raring to test that, but I won't be able to get to that until later this week. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to lightdm in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1059083 Title: Log in automatically choice does not work. To help the developers figure out what is wrong, would you mind (if you are able to log in) pressing Alt+F2 and entering ubuntu-bug lightdm? Apport (the bug reporting application) will automatically create a bug report for you and you can post it on Launchpad, then post the bug number here and we can link the two bugs together. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to lightdm in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1059083 Title: Log in automatically choice does not work. Installed latest build using Testdrive and KVM and problem was reproduced. Installed a fresh copy manaully from the iso into Virtualbox and didn't have the issue.
