There is a workaround to this problem from terminal execute the following: 1. sudo apt-get --reinstall install signon-ui 2. sudo apt-get --reinstall install signon-ui-x11 3. sudo apt-get --reinstall install signon-ui-service Then restart. I just upgraded to 15.10 and hit this. I can't use the box because the menu does not come up.
