I assume you mean cups-filters 1.5.0-2. That version was never released
in Ubuntu. You seem to be using Arch Linux. This is an Ubuntu

When I try to print with the Brother MFC9840CDW postscript driver I
just get the following output:

All other drivers for the Brother MFC9840CDW are currently broken so please
help!
