same problem here. System freezes completely(except, I can move mouse pointer. Just move, no click) and after restart buch of "nouveau :01:00.0: fifo: SCHED_ERROR 0a [CTXSW_TIMEOUT]" in syslog. ubuntu 16.04, 4.4.0-78-generic #99-Ubuntu SMP, Lenovo P50.
