Title:
  nome-shell crashed with SIGSEGV ign gbm_bo_get_plane_count()

Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  I upgraded from 16.04 -> 17.10 -> 18.04 using the standard system
  update, and then upgrade via the GUI.

  After the upgrade I started experiencing issues. First with logging in
  (log in loop). Had to click on the gear icon and switch from Xorg to
  Unity (17.10).
