David Jurenka's patch works (Many Thanks!), but only for the window list, not the workspace switcher - which is actually where I get the most problems: I've used Windows for years, so I generally use Alt-Tab to switch windows, but I still use the mouse to switch workspaces. As suggested by xtkni
