[Desktop-packages] [Bug 942274] Re: gedit crashed with SIGSEGV in gtk_style_context_get_valist()

2018-11-24 Thread Paul White
We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to review all
reported bugs in a timely manner. You reported this bug some time ago
and there have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time.

Ubuntu 12.04 (precise) reached end-of-life on April 28, 2017.

Do you still see a problem related to the one that you reported in a
currently supported version of Ubuntu?

Please let us know if you do otherwise this bug report can be left to
expire in approximately 60 days time.

Thank you for helping make Ubuntu better.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 942274] Re: gedit crashed with SIGSEGV in gtk_style_context_get_valist()

2012-03-20 Thread Christopher Kyle Horton
I got this when I had Gedit running maximized on my top-left workspace
with multiple tabs open, then switched to my top-right workspace and
used the quicklist entry for opening a new window. After the window
opened blank, it went unresponsive and eventually crashed.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 942274] Re: gedit crashed with SIGSEGV in gtk_style_context_get_valist()

2012-03-14 Thread Ingo Gerth
... happened when dragging text inside of gedit. Very annoying, makes
programming with it nearly impossible for it crashes frequently. How can
the priority only be low?

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 942274] Re: gedit crashed with SIGSEGV in gtk_style_context_get_valist()

2012-03-05 Thread thom
This is how I can reproduce it (and also why it not happens most of the
times):

It always happens when I start one gedit instance from nautilus and
another gedit instance from a gnome-terminal window

It doesn't happen when both are started from the gnome-terminal
It doesn't happen when both are started from nautilus
it doesn't happen when one is started from the launcher and another from
terminal
it doesn't happen when one is started from the launcher and another from
nautilus

Title:
gedit crashed with SIGSEGV in gtk_style_context_get_valist()

Status in “gedit” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
This occurred while I was attempting to drag a tab from one gedit
window to another. The tab didn't move when dragged with the mouse,
  instead the entire application crashed.

I've attempted to reproduce this and couldn't, so am unsure exactly
  what conditions cause the bug.
