Hi Jack!
1. Check in minimal setting properties for Ant runs
from inside Antidote.
o May not really be useable but will preserve
some hard-worked code.
Let's have a look :-)
o Oops, another issue here: I'm using NetBeans
so there are .form files I'd
Hi Jack
Oh-o... Let's see the generated GUI code, then. I never liked the
GUI-code NetBeans created.
It's got its quirks but I am used to it. It allows really quick redesign
of forms.
Hmm... The current Antidote Forms are pretty generic and not really
composable. Additionally I am not
Hi Jack!
First of all: If I forgot to submit your chnages (or I may have overseen
your posting) do not hesitate to resend. If the Subject starts with
[Antidote] I'll see it definately. I'll test that definately and a
committ is very probable.
And: Yes, I think it's not nice to maintain two
Hi Jack!
1. Set properties when running Ant from Antidote.
Yep! One of the most important things for the usability of Antidote!

Hi Jack!
I'm wondering if the consensus of Ant developers is that Antidote is dead.
I had been working fitfully

there be anyone interested in vetting my diffs if and when I get them
ready

I don't know much about trademark law, but doesn't it matter if their
trademark precedes our usage? I'm pretty sure I can't declare

Wow Steve!
Impressive research :-)! Well done! Nearly nothing to add :-)!
Perhaps we just make sure that we call it Apache ANTidote on
all the web
page docs tonight, send him a letter saying we have made
sure that we
use the full name. If he insists then raise the stakes by
asking
Antidote ...
The attached corrects a typo I made that causes a javadoc
error and also adds two package.html files ... I'll add more later.
Applied! Thanx! Keep the good work going!

Hi Jack!
This diff makes window size persistent. It may not be the
most important persistent property, but it sure is annoying
to continually have to stretch the window to a size that
allows the editor gadgets to render themselves in a
reasonable fashion!
Fair improvement! Useful and I
Antidote Reopener changed to use global PropertiesManager
(instead of writing its own Properties file).
Hi Jack!
I just wanted to apply your patch, but other then the first one I had
problems with this one! CVS simply said, that the file contains no valid
patch! Can you re-send it please! Or

IMO there are certain things we can use that properties for. One of the
most easy things is to make the coloring of the console configurable.

Not familiar with that, but will try to take a look. There is

Hi Jack!
I've committed your updates to the TODO-List. Thanx! I'll integrate it
in the WebPage shortly...
Now it would be really nice, if you pick up a task (a single one if you
do not mind) and implement it- if you like :-)!
You ased me about the Preferences topic: It should fit into the
Hi Jack!
It's an old, but just in some points outdated TODO-list.
Feel free to pic up a task!
I re to my own words first: The TODO-List is old and not updated for a
long time! Additionally it is not by me, but by Simeon. To be honest I
do not understand all points by myself, but I can give
Hi Sefan, Jack and Conor!
Antidote has had two or three phases of increased development
efforts with longer breaks of inactivity in between. The
last one has been winter/early spring this year IIRC. The

switched jobs by then

Hi all,
Antoine has continuously been sending in patches since months now,
he's played an important role in the zip refactoring and is answering
more question on the user list than most of us here. Furthermore
Antoine has access to a perforce installation, so he's able to test

I have Perforce, too! I am using it for my private SCM, for

Sorry for the commercial, but I am really a P4-lover :-).
Hi Conor and Stefan!
No question, it looks - umh - ugly on Netscape 4, don't
know how much

Probably not much of a concern. I've tested with a few browsers

Hi all!
I am still improving ANTidote and as I am developing better
Task/Type-Element-support I came over this topic.
As you might know ANTidote as well as the NetBeans-Ant-integration uses the
defaults.properties in the packages taskdefs and types to introspect an
initial amount of tasks and
how about an ant sandbox?

IMHO we should move the whole proposal area there, this would also
make our CVS snapshots smaller.
+1 - probaly this will thighten the dayly builds, too :)

At this stage, I think it is appropriate for us to look at
Ruper. Centipede is, at this stage, something to layer on
top of Ant and should remain separate, IMHO.
I agree that Centipede should remain separate and remain on
top of Ant.
I also think that Centiepde can become an Ant
