Not that I know of, though the section of the manual that deals with extending or embedding Ant at the Java level [1] refers to a variety of types which would generally
be thought of as core.

Re: Apache Ivy 2.3.0-RC1 Release

2012-04-16 Thread Maarten Coene
Stefan,

The docs inside the distribution files are the generated html files.
The tagged docs are the template html files from which the documentation is
generated.

I don't know if this is a good practice, but we use this procedure since
version 2.0.
Perhaps we could change this, but maybe for the next (2.4.0) release?

btw, I could download the tarballs on windows with firefox 9.0.1 without a
problem.

OTWhen downloading stuff with Firefox on Linux the tarballs get
corrupted (gziped a second time), something that I intend to
investigate.  Things look good when using svn to check out the dir./OT

The docs inside the source tarball don't match those of the svn tag
(they contain additional Javascript among other differences), is this
intentional?

[VOTE] Release Apache Compress Antlib 1.2

2012-04-16 Thread Stefan Bodewig
Hi all,

following the 1.4 release of Apache Commons Compress I've prepared a new
release of the Compress Antlib. Highlights: support for XZ compression
format and improved POSIX tar support (can now properly create archives
for long file names/big files that are understood by all modern tars).

svn tag:
https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/ant/antlibs/compress/tags/1_2_RC1/
(Revision 1326712)

tarballs:
https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/dev/ant/antlibs/compress/

Maven artifacts:

https://repository.apache.org/content/repositories/orgapacheant-059/org/apache/ant/ant-compress/1.2/

Vote will remain open for at least 72 hours and close no earlier than
19:00 UTC on Thu 2012-04-19.

OK, I didn't know that - or maybe I did but just forgot about it.
Personally I think the source distribution should match the svn tag, but
it is not a blocker to me.

That would be good IMHO.

Strange. The .zips work for me gut the .gzs are causing problems. It
looks as if they get gzipped a second time.

Do you vote for the release of these binaries?
 [X] Yes
 [ ] No

+1

source tarball and tag seem to match apart from generated docs, RAT is
reasonably happy, NOTICE and LICENSE look fine to me, sigs and hashes
are correct. No other tests from my side.
