Hi Tim, in JIRA there's a set of roles. Every committer gets to go in the 'Committers' group role. There's a PMC role that can do more stuff including administer the JIRA project. We've only added PMCers to the PMC role when they've needed it rather than add them all up front. So I've added you

Yes, I never managed to create new versions when I did the 1.0.0 releases either. I kept meaning to sort it out and tidy that all up but never quite managed it. It seems like the permissions might be a gap in our process and at the very least PMC members should have access. While I'm on the
