Shwetha G S commented on ATLAS-656:
-----------------------------------

Should we move the target directory out of mvn build target so that mvn clean
doesn't clean it up?

> Provide a flag to get HBase from a downloaded location for developer

> With ATLAS-498, Atlas now supports packaging HBase out of the box for all its
> dependencies. However, this requires the download of HBase whenever we do a
> clean install or package. Since this is a common operation (needs to be done
> at least once before every patch submission), it would be nice to be able to
> point to an existing location to get the HBase tarball instead of
> downloading. This will help in offline builds, improve build time, etc.
