Hi Nick,
Welcome.
There are a list of starter jira issues (labeled starter), that could help you
to get familiar with the code base.
Feel free to grab and assign to yourself, and start contributing.

Hi Beamers,
I've been following along the lists for a while now ("long time listener,
first time caller"), and met a few of you at Strata in September. Loved all
the talks.
After using Beam (+ Dataflow runner) for some of my side projects, I'd love
to jump in and start contributing. Never having

Happy to hear from you!
We have labels in JIRA that you can look at to find starter tasks that
interest you. The tags are "starter" and "newbie" and "easyfix". They all
mean the same thing.
Take a look and if you find something that sounds interesting, comment on

JB,
Thanks will review the samples - I am assuming they are under the git repo.
Regarding experience, have been working with Spark mostly, some Flink
experience and even less Akka streams. Applications are real time/low latency
evals/transformations and reporting.
Do you have a link to the
Beam team,
I am very excited about Beam, everything I’ve read about it is awesome.
I just joined this alias and am interested in becoming a contributor. Was
wondering if there a natural place for me to start? I’ve mostly trying to piece
things from a scattering of all the docs/blogs.
Sorry
