Not to start a holiway ;), but just a thought: shall we go straight to
asciidoctor instead of markdown? I was lately doing some work with
asciidoctor (including writing extensive reports, etc.) and I found it
to be way more advanced than markdown.

your talk submissions are amazing! I love to attend the dev-room and see the
progress Bigtop made in the past years. Now let’s wait for the dev room
organizers. They potentially might ask us to squeeze two or three of our
submissions into one slot.

The mechanism behind the ASF page deployments is git. So you are checking in a
new revision. If the revision of a file is identical to the previous one (not
considering the timestamp!) , it will not be included in the patchset deployed
on server.
