I think it would be great to mentor someone, I don't think I'll have the time,
but maybe we can share the mentorship..

Hi Cameleers,
the deadline for this is tomorrow, does anyone have the ambition/time
to mentor or at least can we identify some issues that we would like a
student to work on?
I think it would be a good opportunity to get someone
contributing/helping/getting started with Camel 3 effort.

Currently, traits configuration is modelled as `map[string]string`. In some
traits, there is a need for more structured configuration like maps (e.g.
labels) or arrays
astefanutti opened a new issue #394: Decouple traits from base image
URL: https://github.com/apache/camel-k/issues/394
The following traits currently depend on the `fabric8/s2i-java` base image:
- debug
- deployment
- jolokia
- knative-service
- prometheus
- springboot
rhuss commented on issue #263: Provide a way to inject annotations/labels into
child resources

Looks like that Prometheus operator does something similar. Might be worth
to check how they are doing it.
astefanutti commented on issue #393: Add daily operator image builds
URL: https://github.com/apache/camel-k/issues/393#issuecomment-458561634
I think having the `latest` tag published after each successful build
triggered by commit would do it.

The project description is rather terse.
I think it would be useful to mention that the software is open source
as well as free.

Hi Cameleers,
the submissions for bird of a feather sessions just opened at FOSDEM

BoF is 1 hour slot[1] and we can discuss anything Camel related.

Hi
Just a heads up that I added a first start of the migration guide.
There is a number of TODOs where you can help.
For any new code changes that changes the API in a way that affects
Camel end users then please add to this to migration guide, so we keep
it up to date.
