It's been a bit since the last beta, and while many important fixes have

tested while we're closing out the remaining issues[2].

 Tag and artifacts for 0.6.0-beta3:

 SVN Tag:

Obviously this is a +1 from me. :)

Re: Standardizing Timestamps Across Clients

A standard default would be nice, but while we're making recommendations
I'd also suggest that client libs should make this parameter easy to
override. Client apps can do lots of interesting things by setting
timestamps explicitly. You can get a sort of quasi-transaction by using the
same timestamp for a set of operations, for example.

FWIW, telephus has always allowed this by overriding the timestamp kwarg on
any request.

 Excellent.

I would like to know about the idea : *Finish creating an Avro
  interface alongside Thrift*
Please give me some details on this idea on where to begin and what
  are the skills i need.

You'll need to be able to code in Java (Cassandra is written in Java
after all). Additionally, I think you'd need a firm understanding of the
Thrift interface and how data is modeled in Cassandra (basically all the
stuff you'd need to know to write applications against it).
