Hi Ivet,
I would love to do a talk at this event. This time a technical one instead of a
user story if this makes sense.
Regards,

Hi to all,
I am testing cloud-init right now and run into a limitation of CS with the
provided user-data/meta-data.
As far as docu goes
(http://docs.cloudstack.apache.org/projects/cloudstack-administration/en/latest/virtual_machines.html#user-data-and-meta-data)
CS is providing the following
Hi,
we ran into a problem with storage live migration in CLoudstack and need your
help to verify this.
We are using XenServer with local storage.
Steps to reproduce:
1. create an instance from an ISO (not template!) on local storage 2. while
instance is running migrate it to another XenServer
Please correct me if I am wrong, but does that mean that in CS 4.3 a crash of
the pool master will disable the cluster for CS?!?
As a technician I feel more save to add a new host to a cluster using XenCenter
because of shared storage, NICs and other stuff. CS then needs to discover the
new
In my opinion the way we should go is keep it simple. We really should
consider to drop support for XenServer 6.0.2 here and not making things more
complicated and provide more than 1 option.
Of course it depends on how many CS installations are still using XenServer
6.0.2.!
Can somebody give
In my opinion we need to improve QA! If smaller cycles will help to do that
this is the way to go. I joined this list after the release of 4.5, but as
far as I know 4.5 is not really usable for production because of critical bugs
in it that good QA would not have passed.
So if CS releases new
Hi all,
it is really hard for a newbie to follow all of your thought regarding this.
Can somebody please explain it a little bit more?
Thank you very much!

Hi,
thank you for testing. In 4.3 the name label is empty even when the vm is down.

Hi,
we are searching for a cloudstack developer! We found and reported some bugs in
CS, which are really annoying for our workflow, but minor to the opensource
project.
The problem is that we do not have the knowlegde and manpower to solve these
bugs, but we are willing to pay for a solution
Cannot confirm this! Are you talking about XenServer name-label or CS?

Hi,
can somebody please test this behavior in 4.5.1-rc2?
1. Create instance on XenServer hypervisor via CS.
2. Check Name of storage in XenCenter's storage tab for this instance.
(should be ROOT-XXX)
3. Migrate primary storage to different storage via CS.
4. Take a look at Name of storage in
Hello,
is somebody already working on a solution to extract a snapshot of a volume
directly without the need to create a new volume before extracting?
As far as I understand CS is creating a symlink on the secondary storage in
/var/www/html/userdata which points to the corresponding vhd file on
