today, after having upgraded our Cocoon build to the latest revision
from trunk, we started getting NPEs from a project that had worked
perfectly until then. Turns out the NPE was caused in a subsitemap

You can do it right now. map:components is handled exactly as an xconf
file to feed the service

proposal/discussion about changing the build
system so it's possible to build individual
blocks.
So either I was just dreaming of that *sigh*
