The 2.1.x branch contains imho enough important bug fixes for
a new release: 2.1.6.
What do you think of a release by the end of september?
The only thing currently missing is merging all the changes
we did to the head into the branch.

For the proposed 2.1.6, can there be a virtual patchathon to at least
address/apply the pending proposed patches in Bugzilla?
