Hi,
I've just filed this issue against Excalibur:
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FORTRESS-22
ResourceSource.getInfos() leaves URLConnection open, resulting in
'too may open files' condition
This affected us on a busy live system serving dojo files from the jar

Sorry I am not sure if I missed the answer to the questions. But this is very
important information for us so I will ask them again.
Is the version of Java Flow in 2.1.10 an updated version?
Is the updated version only in 2.2.0? If so can it be back ported to 2.1.10?
Thanks,
Doug
Is the version of Java Flow in 2.1.10 an updated version?
No, I don't think anyone bothered backporting.

2.1.10?
Yes, 2.2 has the current version.

Hi,
While using the block: protocol, I got NullPointerExceptions because a
resource could not be found in the target block. This was due to a
ResourceNotFoundException, and when Cocoon tries to report the
exception, the NPE occurs.
It seems that the outputStream member is null. Has anybody any

Java Flow code to the 2.1.10 code base?
For my project at least 2.2 is worlds away.

I had the same problem and fixed it with a patch:

Unfortunately it is not committed yet, because it was unclear if this
might break some specific old problem.
The problem is that the original exception is swallowed, so the called

Well, in 2.2 we use a different approach in regards to the

Jörg,
thanks for your reply. I think I kind of missed that thread. I will have a look

Mark,
the improved sitemap looks very interesting. I guess that the ServletContext..
is a better name for the component. I've modified some code so it would still
fit into cocoon without getting deprecated ;-)
I'll test it some more and send in the InputModule tonight.
Kind regards,
