Hi Jean,
Indeed it looks like you have the same resource registered twice hence the
warning. It may come from the use of automatic resource scans and manual
resource registration.

I am cherry-picking relevant changes regularly (from @dependabot, etc) to

we want to drop 4.0.0 only or make 3.4.x / 3.5.x releases as well? With

Hey Colm,
The build has failed because of test failures, you could see that on [Test

parallel), the output is a bit tricky to interpret sometimes.

Agree with Dan, our initial plan was to keep 3.5.x on javax.* and provide
full jakarta.* support in 4.x. Afaik, we have very limited support for

Haven't check your branch yet but if there is no changes (or changes are
compatible with 2.2.x) besides dependencies we should be good to go with
2.3.x. The CXF 3.5.0 would use 2.4.x release line in this case (due in

So yeah, you cannot use attachments like this, it should be hidden behind
binary payload. The only thing you need to do is to change type="file" to
type="string" in your @Schema. This is the OAS 3.0 approach:

Thanks Dennis, I will try to take a look on OpenApi ones, getting 3.2.x
build back on track now. Thanks.

It is good question actually, the JAXRS 2.1 API (SyncInvoker) does not have
patch() either, I think we could add one to WebClient, won't harm.
Not sure about USE_ASYNC though, we may have to keep it for backward
compatiblity, no?

I will take a look, may be we could submit the PR for it. ServiceMix guys
are very responsive.

Hi Andy,
I think we certainly should be thinking towards jdk11 but start with jdk10
and win some time. We know what is coming, JAXB and SOAP are our main pain
points, we could import these dependencies directly from get-go and be
quite ready for jdk11. Thoughts?

Big +1, same question as Colm has, thanks!

Hi Freeman,
Thanks a lot for sharing the post, will go through it shortly. Hope to have
something out this week so we could discuss it. Thanks!

Yeah, certainly, would be good to get a bit more details or small code
snippets to understand the problem. Mark, is it possible? Thanks.

Hi Carlos,
That's right, SSE in CXF requires dedicated transport, however it is fully
compatible with the existing HTTP transport (regular endpoints). Both SSE
and non-SSE endpoints should work just fine. Here is a link to the wiki,

Hey Sergey,
I think the "ideal" in this case depends on whom to ask. For us - yet
another module to support, for users - out of the box integration. With new
module we could collect a bit more insights if people use it or not. No use
- drop in next releases. Thanks.

+1 to this idea, haven't seen Jetty 8 in while in many projects, Jetty 9
would be a way to go I think

Right, it looks like really light version of tracing, which essentially
allows to figure out which service/host is the problem. I am not sure how
useful it could be in practice, and there is a large overlap with logging
in this case.

I think it is very good idea to integrate brave-cxf into CXF. Christian, do
you have enough time to work on that? I think I could help you out with
that, I have reviewed brave-cxf PRs awhile back. Thanks.

That's right, the JAX-RS part should be supported by Brave already thanks
to dedicated CXF integration (I was involved in late-stage discussions for
the PR in question but not in the implementation).

Hey Romain,
Although I cannot comment on release, sorry, I have made a few changes
regarding CDI integration (DefaultApplication
discovery, release of the creational contexts, handling resource classes
properly). The last changes have been committed
early last week. Could you please confirm no
