Reverting today is premature. Compiling is not an issue within the next
hour or two. Passing the tests might take a day or two.

Yes you are 100% right. We made a wrong call going against our gut to work
in a branch. We both (Emmanuel and I) are on it to cleanup and stabilize.
This hopefully will be the last time we do anything like this.
