I am interested in contributing some time and effort into writing some HOW-Tos
and Tutorials for OpenOffice. I love OpenOffice and am grateful for its
existence. If there is anything, writing wise that I can contribute please

Welcome! I really like your proposed project. I would like to see more
how-tos targeted at specific audiences, especially intermediate and
advanced users. OOoAuthors may be a good place to work on these.
