I think it doesn't have to be based on that, because it's certainly
more useful to cover topics that are not already covered in the
official documentation. (If something is covered in the official
documentation, but badly, note that it's quite realistic to contribute
to it, unlike in many bigger projects.) For example, topics like how
to use FreeMarker with a certain framework (e.g. with Spring Web MVC,
Spring e-mails, etc.) are "by design" missing from the documentation.

Anyway, do you have any specific topic in mind, that you intend to
work out there?

Well, I have backed it. It's the only way we can find out where it
goes... (:

Stack Overflow Documentations - Freemarker

2017-06-10 Thread Marton Csukas
Hi Everyone,

I am Marton Csukas, Software Developer in London who uses and loves
Freemarker.

I noticed that on Stack Overflow Documentation there is a proposal waiting
for two more backers so that a topic-based Freemarker Documentation could
be created.

I was wondering whether it would be a good idea for me to start creating
Freemarker Documentation Topics on Stack Overflow, based on the
http://freemarker.org/ Documentation?

If you think so, can you please back the proposal here
, so I can start
creating Freemarker's SO Documentation page?

Have a nice day everybody!

Best Regards,
