Hi everyone! Earlier this year VMware announced a Geode Summit as part of SpringOne [1]. Well, a lot has happened since then! Many tech conferences have gone virtual and SpringOne is no exception [2]. SpringOne is a great conference with a lot of excellent content. Unfortunately they have a limited amount of sessions and because of that it makes more sense to move the Geode Summit to an alternate “virtual” venue.
The great news is, this gives us a fantastic opportunity to showcase Geode during the ApacheCon @Home virtual event! [3][4], We can host an entire track of sessions dedicated to Geode during the 72h event from September 29, 2020 through October 1, 2020. The CFP is open for one more week and the more great content we have the more sessions we can host! What you need to do: 1) Register for ApacheCon @Home [5] 2) Submit your talk ASAP [6] The CFP closes on Monday, July 13th, 2020 8:00 AM (America/New_York time - UTC -5). If you have already submitted a Geode talk for ApacheCon, please let me know. If you had previously submitted a talk for the Geode Summit you will need to resubmit that for ApacheCon (thank you and please let me know as well).
