I've upgraded CXF and myfaces in 2.1 branch per Frank's suggestion.

I'm trying to upgrade Derby to 10.5.3.0_1 now.

There have been requests to upgrade AXIS and MyFaces.
Upgrading CXF and Derby sound like good candidates, too.
Not sure why we need to upgrade ANT or SLF4J, especially if these are
tied into gshell and would require other upgrades.

Right, there's been a 3.0.2

Hi,
We've had 80 more important fixes since 2.1.4 release and should get
them out to our users.
So I think we can start a new release from 2.1 branch.
If no one volunteer, I would also like to be a release
to its latest release 6.0.24...
Not sure whether people are also interested in upgrading Derby to 10.5.x.

I just upgraded 2.1.x to use OpenJPA 1.2.2. Our next release (1.2.3) is
tentatively planned for sometime in March, but will depend upon if we
have enough integrated patches to justify another release that soon.

What incompatabilities are there?

Upgrading to 2.2 is certainly an option. I don't know of any problems. However,
there are some major upgrades in 2.2
