I had a error message from my SVN client and
http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/httpd/httpd/branches/?sortby=date was not
showing it anymore...

I've been a fan of mod_macro since day 1... in fact, my 1st ApacheCon
preso in 2000 mentions it. I still use it. I still recommend it.

IIRC, mpm-itk only needs to call stat() on the file to check for
permissions, and since (in the successful case) the file is about to be
opened I assume that the performance
