The size of 
https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/jackrabbit/site/live/filevault-package-maven-plugin-archives/
 (just the release version) is around 80 MB which would need to be cloned by 
everyone. Maybe using a dedicated repository for hosting the website makes more 
sense, and probably keeping that in SVN is also reasonable...
