There is `java.time.Period`
([https://docs.oracle.com/javase/8/docs/api/java/time/Period.html)] for
differences in dates, perhaps this could replace the `javax.xml.Duration`?
I found this StackOverflow which goes into detail about replacing Gregorian
Calendar with `java.time`.
