I am analyzing the issue "Downloading of embedded resources via HTTP Request Default not working on v5.6.2" ( https://github.com/apache/jmeter/issues/6076 ), and it requires fixing the implementation of properties. I think we should fix it in 5.6.3 I hope to sort it out by Friday. Vladimir
