Hi all,

as the Aries releases vote has started, and Cellar/Cave released, we can
now plan a Karaf 3.0.2 release as scheduled.

I worked on the OPS4J PAX dependent projects, especially to validate the
Java8 support.

FYI, this week and the next one, I will focus on Karaf 3.0.2 and 2.3.6
preparation.
As noted in the release schedule, the releases should go in vote on July,
25.

I'm focussing on it ;)

Hi Sapna,

if you update to latest Karaf 2.3.x, you will have the jdbc:* commands.

Just that I wont be able to view the DB data through Karaf since 2.3.2 does
not support db commands.

Thanks,

Yes, the command is only for convenience.
The datasource will work, if configured correctly, also with Karaf 2.3.2 :)

2014-07-08 Thread abedwardsw
GitHub user abedwardsw opened a pull request:

allow reference to fqdn for use of ldaploginmodule within active directo...

When trying to configure LDAPLoginModule for use with Active Directory, I
could not find a way with the current configuration to have the authorization
work properly due to the use of the member attribute in AD. I saw the %fqdn
but unfortunately that would not work properly when search subtree is set to
true. I think %fqdn should actually be removed and replaced with my code, but
didn't want to touch it just in case. I put in 2.3.x branch as I want to see
this make it into the next Fuse6.x release

You can merge this pull request into a Git repository by running:

$ git pull https://github.com/abedwardsw/karaf karaf-2.3.x

Alternatively you can review and apply these changes as the patch at:

https://github.com/apache/karaf/pull/44.patch

To close this pull request, make a commit to your master/trunk branch
with (at least) the following in the commit message:

This closes #44

2014-07-08 Thread Achim Nierbeck
Those commands are only available for Karaf 3.x.
Karaf 2.3.x doesn't know of them.
For a complete list of commands known to Karaf 2.3.x, refer to the manual

db commands not available in Karaf 2.3.2

2014-07-08 Thread SapnaB
Hi All,

Im using Karaf 2.3.2 and need to interact with Derby DB through my bundles.
I have installed the Derby driver 10.10.1.1 as directed in
http://www.liquid-reality.de/display/liquid/2012/01/13/Apache+Karaf+Tutorial+Part+6+-+Database+Access

I have also deployed the datasource-derby.xml blueprint file as directed in
:
https://github.com/cschneider/Karaf-Tutorial/blob/master/db/datasource/datasource-derby.xml

both the bundles are now ACTIVE in Karaf:
[ 242] [Active ] [] [ ] [ 80] Apache Derby 10.10
(10.10.101.1458268)
[ 243] [Active ] [Created ] [ ] [ 80] datasource-derby.xml
(0.0.0)

But when I try to use any of the db: commands, I cant find them in the
command list. Am I missing some step here? Kindly help.

Thanks,
Sapna
