lol sry, but i must politely decline - IMHO, even one new mozilla per month is
too often
i just published v114 yesterday - it was released upstream only 3 days ago -
the ARM package just finished compiling a few hours ago - mozilla's release
cycle has become ludicrous
sry mozilla, you need to

its good - it even compiled all the way through with PGO enabled
this time
i686 is still troublesome - arch32 is still at v85, cause they
cant get it to compile either
no worries, thanks for keeping up on it

maybe it would be most helpful to have only the one master
branch - its not likely that multiple pull requests would touch
the same files, and pagure makes it easy to rebase pull
requests; so it is not as important to avoid the master branch
as i though so at first
i did make changes to the pagure ACL last week, and i added
someone other contributors to it - i did not think it would
affect you though
IIRC, there is no master branch on pagure, only 'iceweasel' and
'pull-requests' - probably the new ACL is only preventing your

Hello. I've pushed a commit to Pagure yesterday [1], but was not sure how to
create a PR. I used to push fresh master branch to Pagure, then push my changes
to feature branch (iceweasel), then open PR from iceweasel to master. But
yesterday my attempt to push master got rejected. So if anybody
currently, this only affects x86_64 - arch32 and archarm have
not change 'icu' versions; and have no staging builds

Thanks for the patches. I applied them and the packages are currently
rebuilding. Keep them coming. Especially patches to update the ice*
family of packages are always appreciated, mainly because they take so
much time to get right.
So thanks again!

Please find updated patches for iceweasel 73.0-1 attached. Built
and smoke tested for x86_64, armv7h, i686.
iceweasel_branding_73.0-1.patch should be applied to the
contents of [1]. I couldn't find actual git repository for
those. Please apply the patch with 'git apply' rather than
'patch',
If anyone is interested, please find updated patches for
Iceweasel 73.0-1
Please note that this is WIP. I didn't build it for any of the
architectures. Just started libremakepkg for all 3, and made
sure it proceeded successfully to "compiling..." stage.
Currently x86_64 build is running on my
I guess some of the changes from the patch might need a discussion first. As
usual, questions / comments are welcome!

FYI: Firefox 70 has been released [1], and Arch Linux already updated their
package.

I'm not a maintainer, but I tried this as well. I haven't been able to find
any privacy issues in 66 (save for some creepy changes to Pocket, which is
already disabled), and the only two instances of Mozilla branding I can find
were already present in Iceweasel 65 and presumably don't count
Sure, added my findings to the report.

Thank you for the info, and for pushing the new version of the package! Looking
at your changes, I can say my patch didn't contain anything additional.
However I noticed the same issues that appeared after upgrade to v65 [1] to pop
out again. Able to reproduce only with brand new profile, and
Submitting patches to this mailing list is usually the way to go, if you
want to get your submission noticed. IRC can be a bit patchy at times,
as you have noticed :)
I'm actually already working on building an iceweasel 66.0.1, however
i686 is still giving me some trouble.
I'll happily look at
I was able to compile Iceweasel 66.0.1 with minor changes to PKGBUILD and
existing patches, and with patch Arch added for [1]. I didn't review the
changes of this new Firefox version for new freedom issues or antifeatures,
though. If anyone needs patches, please ping me.
I asked about this on
However, the official release date (including source code) is wednesday.

Icewesel has already been rebuilt with updated dependencies - I'm
waiting for gpg issues on winston to be resolved before I can push the
changes.

Please, let's not mark as outdated packages because they have broken
dependencies or whatever. Instead, contact the maintainer, the
Flag-as-outdated option if for *outdated packages*, not packages with
broken dependencies (yes, redundant).
