[Snowdrift-dev] Mechanism

2016-08-09 Thread Peter Harpending

Hi, everyone,

I wrote a mechanism library a few months ago, which I don't believe was
ever merged into the main code tree. Then, I had summer classes, and
several deaths in my family, so I haven't been paying much attention to
the mailing lists/IRC. I'd like to start contributing again, preferably
in small doses.

Would someone mind catching me up on what I've missed and/or give me
suggestions for things to do between now and the new semester?

Sounds good.

I may or may not be around from 17:45 to 19:15 UTC tomorrow. I may, I'm just
not sure yet. If I'm not, I'll just tune in a couple minutes late.

Great question. We need to do more triaging of issues and tasks. I'm
sure there are other newbie-friendly tasks. Let's do some triaging on
Wednesday, maybe. 19:00 UTC?

Absolutely, yes. We have the problem either way, however, as long as
we are avoiding Github on ideological grounds.

People would still have to sign up for our personal Gitlab instance.

The original plan was to do *everything* on the Snowdrift website, but
that plan was too ambitious. Now we are in a bit of limbo. :( Let's
get launched and see what we can do to improve things afterwards.
