that the Javadoc for the components was not
compatible with Java 8. So it was detected before I cut the release. This
and the fact that the component requires Java 7 made me decide to use
toolchains for the build.

What is the intended binary repo for plexus, after the move to the
codehaus-plexus organization on github?
I requested permissions to deploy to ossrh, which is what it says in the
parent. They wanted confirmation that we are switching from
nexus.codehaus.org to ossrh. Are we?

not get any more bugfixes on that release line, because work focus
move to 3.4.0-SNAPSHOT as soon as 3.3.0 has been released

the result, IMHO we get a
better
plan: a new Maven version, with features and the assurance we'll do
bugfix
releases on it (the fact that it has upgraded Java requirement is just a
fact on release notes)

If we are going to release 3.3.0 very soon, like this week or the
next, there won't be any time to start using Java 7 features
it and deploy a SNAPSHOT, so that the reporters of the above
issues can try out my fix.
