Since many PRs are still in progress or in the build queue, the code freeze
has been extended until *Sunday, November 26th.*
It would be very helpful if you could respond to this email with any PRs
that are still pending to be merged into master and must be included in the
1.0 release.

I often find it desirable to have a method for 3rdparty packages to be
included (possibly optionally) in a 3rdparty directory. We do this with
'cub' to some degree, but it's in the root and is actually a fork in the
dmlc repository. Some samples of what might go in there:
